Always remember Safety First.

Do not under any circumstance put yourself or anyone else at risk.

Be especially aware of electricity. Water is a good conductor of electricity, do not touch anything electrical where water is present.

If safe to do so, turn off your internal water stopcock. This is usually located under the sink.
